Macro Photos from Home

Finally...some real photos taken by the Voigtlander 125mm f/2.5 Lanthar Macro! This is a little-known lens with an all-metal build and buttery-smooth focus action. It is purely a manual focus lens, but in the Canon EF mount it actually allows for full aperture TTL metering, electronic aperture control (the aperture can be controlled by the camera instead of an aperture ring on the lens) and it also has focus confirmation!

In essence, this Voigtlander lens works just like any modern EF-mount would, except that it is manual focus only. In good hands or under controlled conditions the photos from this lens have blistery-sharp detail and creamy bokeh. Macro is a genre that has a steep learning curve, and I can only hope to get better at it.
